“This award reflects the spirit of UWC Atlantic - a community where diversity is our greatest strength and education is a force for unity and change.”

Naheed Bardai, Principal at UWC Atlantic

Throughout the year, students express their cultures and perspectives through National Evenings, conferences and social impact initiatives. Projects such as Atlantic Dippers (a cold-water swimming club), Project Week (where students sail the Welsh coast or design and build rescue boats), and Lighthouse (an entrepreneurial hub funding student-led initiatives) provide rich opportunities for collaboration, creativity and leadership.

Supporting every student to flourish is central to life at UWC Atlantic. The Learning Centre offers individualised academic, emotional and wellbeing support, including English as an Additional Language and Additional Learning Needs provision. Students live in eight residential houses, each guided by dedicated mentors and tutors, fostering a sense of belonging and family from the moment they arrive.

Through this model of inclusion, leadership and care, UWC Atlantic empowers international students to become systems thinkers and peacebuilders, ready to navigate and contribute to an increasingly interconnected world.
