The purpose of this role is to support UWC Atlantic to live out its commitment to experiential learning. In the spirit of Kurt Hahn’s philosophy of providing opportunities for young people to discover more within themselves, at UWC Atlantic, outdoor learning is a tool to support personal growth and to develop essential life skills.
Outdoor education is a key component of the student offer at UWC Atlantic. It is through such opportunities, that students are enabled to take risks and develop competencies which will support them in life. The Head of Outdoor Education is an important strategic position contributing to the College’s high quality experiential learning programme. The post holder will develop and implement an exciting programme of outdoor educational experiences whilst ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all participants.
